Meditation

My philosophy of meditation

Meditation to me is the state in which you loose a concept of time and space, your self and your body. There are two degrees of meditation that is worth mentioning.

Action meditation
This is the state in which you become so occupied with tasks that you loose a concept of time and space although you might be aware of your self and your bodily movements.

This meditation happens when you wash dishes, mow the lawn, drive somewhere, arange flowers, walk, play an musical instrument or doing any form of art. Some people call it 'flow meditation'.

Samadhi
This is the state of being where there is no time and space, no object or subject, no concept of self, sensations, focus or movement.

Brainwaves and Awareness
In Samadhi it seems as if you are asleep but the difference is that your brain emits delta waves while you sleep whereas in meditation your brain emits theta waves.
In Samadhi it means that your brain is 'asleep' but you are aware. Your brain cannot be asleep and awake at the same time. Therefore I propose that we have a physical, conscious brain and an Awareness brain.

The brain as receiver
Experiments has show that your brain show signs of activity up to 6 second before you think you make a choice. That brought quantum neurologists to the conclusion that the brain is more of a receiver than a source of information. It seems therefore as if the decision is received from another source and I call that source the Awareness Brain.

These two facts brought me to the realisation that we actually have two brains: the conscious brain and the awareness brain and we can be in both simultaneously.

My meditation practice.

Meditation is to me the process to move into a state where your brain or conscious mind is 'asleep' and you enter what I have described as the Awareness brain.

I always tried to meditate but got trapped by my thoughts. 'I must not think' is already a thought. You cannot use the conscious mind to disable consciousness. It is like trying to eat your own teeth.

My breakthrough came when I used healing plants to go beyond conscious into a state of pure awareness. After 13 such journeys over a period of 10 years using Ayahuaca, Iboga and mushrooms, I have learned how to 'create' this state without using the plants.

The first thing that I will teach you, is the process to put your conscious brain to sleep. If you have a monkey brain, it will also include following a specific diet, a routine in preparing for the meditation, and a few physical movements.

The next phase is to move into your Awareness brain. I use breathing techniques combined with music to create an atmosphere that helps you to enter the middle of your brain. Once you have centered yourself in the middle of the brain, you will begin to receive images or 'messages' that you will just follow. They might look like 'thoughts' but do not worry as they have energies to them that will pull you deeper into your awareness brain.

I do 1 on 1 teaching at my home or, if you do it online, I and provide you with 2 online sessions guiding you how to find your own style of meditation. We will do a video call on Zoom or whatsapp. After you have finished the session we will discuss your experience and you are welcome to ask further questions or subscribe to one on one meditations sessions.

The cost is €30 per hour and it can last anything from 1 to 3 hours, depending on the length of the discussion after the treatment. Many clients have epiphanies, receive insights and want to discuss them. I usually make us some tea and we sit in the sitting room and discuss the session.
