Massages
My philosophy of massaging
I have three views of the human body that are very important to share with you:
A. Your body is an expression of your soul.
You are, first of all, a soul embodied on earth in specific situations with specific conditions. Pierre Teilhard de Chardin said: "We are not human beings having a spiritual experience; we are spiritual beings having a human experience." Your body actually forms the midpoint between your human and your spiritual self.
B. E-motion means "to move out."
The Latin word for emotion is emovere: to move out through movement. Feelings are more intellectual thoughts that can be put into words. The language of your body is movement, and its "words" are kept in your cells as memory. In modern times we barely move anymore—we sit most of our lives. No wonder our emotions stagnate.
C. Your body is a highly sophisticated organism.
It can withstand extreme onslaughts by nature, society, and even your own abuse. This resilience leads to the storing of negative cell memories. We all walk around with trauma bodies, and because these cell memories are hidden from our consciousness, we continue as if nothing is wrong until unexpected symptoms manifest.
My intension and practice.
Although I work on your muscles and groups of muscles, I also work deeper into the cell memories lodged in the depths of your tissues.
I do this with electromagnetic energies that emanate from my hands. Scientific research from the HeartMath Institute shows that when I touch you, my heart's electromagnetic field becomes measurable on your body surface. Studies also show that trained practitioners can emit biomagnetic and infrared fields from their hands that interact with your body at a cellular level.
E-motion means "to move out." Through deep tissue massage, I work with the cellular memory stored in your muscles and fascia, allowing trapped emotions and experiences to move through and release from your body.
I do focus on muscle problems when you tell me about them, and usually these problems correspond to emotional issues in your life. I have found, for example, that people with lower back pain usually carry a heavy emotional weight in a relationship, work situation, or regarding finances. While I do the massage you might get ideas or insights which you can share with me and we can discuss them
I use coconut oil, which is wonderful for nourishing your skin. On arrival we have a short chat about your expectations and any problems you are experiencing.
This happens while you lie on the vibration bed for half an hour.
The vibration stimulates your parasympathetic nervous system, reducing cortisol while releasing endorphins. It increases blood flow, oxygen, and nutrients to your muscles. This helps with pain relief, fibromyalgia, and headaches. The vibration also lowers heart rate and blood pressure. It reduces stress and anxiety, and boosts the secretion of serotonin and dopamine.
My massage focuses on the cell memories and therefore I am usually 'unavailable' to talk during a massage as I go into a deep meditative state.
After the massage you are welcome to take a warm shower.

What happens during a session
The cost is €30 per hour, and it can last anything from 90 minutes to 3 hours, depending on the length of the discussion after the treatment. Many clients have epiphanies, receive insights, and want to discuss them. I usually make us some tea and we sit in the sitting room and discuss the session.
